An Ordinary Family, Part 2 Genesis 27:30-46 Summary Take a minute to think about what life and eternity would be without God, without salvation. Some might say its a good life, because I can do what I want and don’t have to obey God’s rules! But if you think about it, it is a life where we try to make up our own blessings for ourselves. This does not work in the end, because the only true blessed life comes from God and His Son Jesus. Let’s think about how Esau shows us a life without God’s blessings: 1. Esau’s tears – The emptiness of life away from God’s blessing 2. Esau’s blessing – The fate of those who reject God's blessing 3. Esau’s revenge – Unbelief leads to more sin Verse: Romans 4:7–8 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”
