The Bible tells us that husbands must love their wives like they love themselves-with all the time and energy they spend on themselves. What does this mean? Let's think about it:
1. The reason for loving your wife – she is your flesh
2. The nature of love for your wife – it is a nourishing and cherishing love.
2. The power to love your wife – Because we are Christ’s body, he nourishes and cherishes us.
Verse: therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. Genesis 2: 24.
